Curtain Cleaning service in London

    Curtain Cleaning

On-site steam and workshop dry-clean across London, Herts & Berks. Long-drops, bay windows, interlined curtains and Roman blinds — re-hung and dressed.

    What We Offer

Curtains hold more dust than any other textile in your home — and they're the one item almost no one ever cleans. Heavy linings trap kitchen grease, pollen from open windows, dust mites and the lingering smell of last winter's open fires. By the time you notice, you've usually been breathing it for two years.

The right cleaning method depends entirely on construction. Unlined and thermal-lined curtains are safe to steam-clean on-site — we bring vertical extraction equipment, the curtains stay on the pole, and they're dry in two hours. Interlined curtains (the heavy ones with a soft bump layer) come down for workshop dry-clean, then we deliver them back, re-hang them, and dress the pleats.

We handle long-drops up to 4.5m, bay windows, double-height living rooms, hotels, churches and Roman blinds across London, Hertfordshire and Berkshire. Inspection is free, and we'll always tell you honestly whether on-site or take-down is right for your specific curtains.

Curtain Cleaning — Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on the lining. Unlined or thermal-lined curtains can be safely steam-cleaned in-situ — fast, no take-down ladder work, dry in 2 hours. Interlined curtains (a soft cotton bump layer between face fabric and lining) almost always need to come down and be dry-cleaned at our workshop, because steaming an interlined curtain risks watermarks and shrinkage where the layers meet. We tell you which is right on first inspection.

Steam cleaning on-site is the lowest-risk option for most curtain types — the fabric never gets fully wet so shrinkage is essentially zero. Take-down dry-cleaning at our workshop is also shrinkage-free. The shrinkage horror stories almost always involve domestic washing machines or someone trying to steam-clean a wool interlined curtain, which we'd never do.

Yes — we use professional access platforms for drops up to 4.5m. Bay windows, double-height living rooms, hotel function rooms and church windows are all standard work for us.

Always. If we take curtains down for workshop cleaning, we deliver them back, re-hang them, and dress the pleats so they fall correctly. You don't lift a finger.

All cleanable. Roman blinds typically come down for workshop dry-clean (the headrail comes off in seconds). Fabric Venetians and pleated shades can usually be done in-situ with low-moisture extraction. We quote each blind individually based on size and fabric.

On-site steam cleaning from £30 per curtain pair for standard drops, £45 for long drops over 2.5m. Workshop dry-clean from £45 per pair (collection and delivery included). Roman blinds from £25 each. Volume discount for whole-house bookings.
